Recipe: Dom's Roast Beef with Sweet Corn Gravy

Easter Lunch

Dahil Easter Sunday na pwede na ulit kumain ng karne. Happy Easter Guys!!!


Ingredients:

For roast beef:
Beef (rump cut)
Garlic
Oyster sauce
Lee kum kee's mushroom flavored dark soy sauce
Five spice powder
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper

For the sweet corn gravy:
Sweet corn kernels
Fresh milk
Knorr liquid seasoning
Salt
Pepper
Butter
Beef stock
Cornstarch
Water

Procedure:

For roast beef:

1. I-pat dry ang beef, gumawa ng mga hiwa sa paligid ng beef at lagyan ng garlic.
2. Paghaluin ang 1/2 tsp five spice powder, 1/2 cup of oyster sauce, 1/2 cup of dark soy sauce, konting salt, pepper at 1/4 cup ng olive oil. 
3. I-marinate ang beef for atleast 1 hour (or overnight).
4. Pakuluan ng beef kasama ang marinade at 2 cups of water for around 30 to 45 minutes, depende sa inyo kung gusto nyo ng well done. Kung gusto nyo yung rare or medium rare, skip nyo na lang to.
5. I-roast ang beef sa oven for 45 mins to 1 hour, depende sa gusto nyong luto.
6. Palamigin muna ng konti bago hiwain.


For sweet corn gravy:

1. Paghaluin ng 1 cup fo fresh milk, 1/2 cup of sweet corn kernels, 2 tbsp. of liquid seasoning, 1/4 cup ng stock na pinagpakuluan ng beef, 1/2 cup of water, salt and pepper.
2. Pakuluan over low heat ng gravy at lagyan ng cornstarch na tinunaw sa water.
3. I-add ang butter, tikman at i-adjust ang lasa.
