Mixed Nuts 003

DLSU lost to UP. Oha! Astig talaga UP. They always know how to break into the limelight. I won and lost at the same time since I came from both schools. My heart’s torn, I love both UP and La Salle.

Miriam Santiago’s so humorous and witty. She also knows when to strike and beat all the lousy politicians wannabes. I laughed so hard about her recent privilege speech and yes, the advertisments’ really hilarious, the dancing, make-up and all.So fun, only in the Philippines!

I saw an angel in UP (new found crush), kaso, bantay bata 163 alert! Freshie lang meaning she’s around 15-17 lang. Alam ko rin ang meaning ng statutory rape, so no go, I want to remain anonymous for now.

Because of that, I’m loving UP more and more and more…

Ibalik sana ang death penalty and I’m calling for a strict implementation of it. Alam ko si Bro lang pwedeng kumuha ng buhay, but what about the lives these assholes took? And I am not talking of their victim’s life only but the lives of the victim’s family, the long-term effect, trauma and sufferings they have to endure. Life begets life, for me.

I’m in a diet mode now. Medyo sumisikip kasi boxers and briefs ko. I’m eating oatmeal for breakfast and less than a cup of rice for dinner. I hope it works! I’m also tea-ing after lunch and dinner! Twinings, I love you! Sosyal ng tea ko, imported from London, nag shopping kasi ako kagabi sa bahay ng kuya ko and I got a lot of food stuffs. Thanks Kuya Raf! Sa uulitin!

I’m loving Candice, Marlon and Warren. I heart The Wedding now. Nakakatuwa din si Jaja of the defunct Jaboom twins! Anne’s just so gorgeous!

I’ll be busy starting tomorrow. School, work, daddy duties and a lot more. There’s just too much exams in school that I needed to ace. Three projects to work on. And one heaven-sent angel I needed to take care of, Cairo.

World Vision in the Philippines

World Vision started in the Philippines in 1957 through three orphanages in Visayas and Mindanao. In its almost 50 years of existence in the country, it has sent more than 200,000 poor Filipino children to school. Currently, it assists about 122,000 children in 34 provinces and 22 cities across the country through Child Sponsorship and community-based programs.

Today, 16,000 Filipinos are engaged in giving a life-changing investment to 22,000 children through child sponsorship. For only P20 a day or P600 a month, a child’s life is transformed every time; his/her future is secured.

The regular contributions are pooled together with other resources so the children, families, and communities may enjoy access to education, good health and nutrition; value formation; child rights protection; children’s participation; skills and leadership training; and community development projects.

World Vision believes that the pursuit of its mission requires integrated and holistic commitment to: transformational development that is community-based and sustainable, focused especially on the needs of children; emergency relief that assists people afflicted by conflict or disaster; promotion of justice that seeks to change unjust structures affecting the poor; partnership with churches to contribute to spiritual and social transformation; public awareness that leads to informed understanding, giving, involvement, and prayers; and witness to Jesus Christ by life, deed, word, and sign that encourages people to respond to the Gospel.

World Vision responds to life-threatening situations where its involvement is needed and appropriate. They are responsive in a deeper sense where complex economic and social deprivation calls for long-term and sustainable development.

Aside from its child sponsorship advocacy, World Vision also organizes, implements and actively promotes health initiatives in partnership with international organizations, government agencies, non-government organizations, private agencies and communities.

World Vision is constantly in search of the best ways to help children. Hence, it is actively involved in community development. Its Area Development Programs (ADP) seek to partner with children, their families and their communities in order to rebuild or make improvements in their environment.

World Vision Philippines is headed by the able leadership of Executive Director Elnora Avarientos.

“World Vision in the Philippines continues to be committed with children. In so doing we also want to equip their families and communities. We would like to strengthen our service to children by ensuring that their pains are addressed. We will strengthen our efforts towards economic sustainability, providing opportunities for entrepreneurship and business ventures for communities that we serve so that families can support and resource the needs for their children”. Mixed Nuts 002

Yipeee!

The whole class literally froze in shock upon seeing her. Akala namin nasa "Night of the Living Dead" movie kami. Hehehe. Basta, I heard everybody prayed that time: 1. deliver us from evil and 2. Thank God and thank genes hindi kami as Tim Yap as her. One time, umuulan, pumasok cya ng walang make-up, halos atakihin kami sa puso sa takot. Iba pa pala hitsura nya pag walang make up, Tim Yap multiplied to forever, ganyan! Buti na lang she's oozing with brain powers and superb mathematical ability, otherwise, napaka malas nyang tao. Ang bad ko talaga.

Nakapanood ako ng "The Proposal" the other day, salamat Niki boy sa pirated yet malinaw na copy na pinahiram mo sa akin. Ryan Reynolds (corrected by Kuri, thanks, henyo ka talaga) & Sandra Bullock - Hooray!

Since QC day kahapon and Cairo's school is located in QC, wala cyang pasok, ako din walang pasok kaso ka malas malasan dahil wala talaga akong pasok ng Wednesday. We're able to bond well. Daddy duty again. Had lunch then nag work ako while Cairo answered the riddles and other mind boggling questions I gave him para di cya mainip at mag tantrums. After office duty, nag time zone kami. Nag enjoy naman anak ko, ako hindi.

Pag uwi, ayun nag basketball kami with his ninongs Leroy and Ker. Talo kami since di pa masyadong magaling mag basketball si Cairo and maliit pa cya compared to his two skyscraper ninongs.

Wattaday! Sarap maging daddy!

PS: I’m not referring to Tim Yap, the eventologist. Tim Yap’s a lait code short for Tang Inang Mukha Yan Ang Pangit! Kaya pag may nagsabi sa iyong you look like Tim Yap, bigwasan mo agad.

Sick-ology 002

May sakit ako since Friday, na ambunan kasi ako nung Thursday kaya ayun.

Si apple cobbler pala made my weekend. Weeeeee!

Get well, domjullian - Bro ni Santino!

Recipe: Domjullian’s Chicken & Pork Adobo sa Gata & Adobo Garlic Rice

Ingredients:

Adobo sa Gata
½ kg pork
½ kg chicken
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup vinegar
½ to 3/4 cup thick coconut milk
2 pieces bay leaf
Onion
Garlic
Sugar
Salt
Pepper

Adobo Rice
Bahaw, ang kaning lamig
Garlic
Adobo Sauce galing sa niluto nyong Adobo sa Gata
Salt

Procedure:

Mix pork, chicken, soy sauce, vinegar, bay leaf, onion, garlic and pepper in a large pan enough to cover the pork and chicken pieces with the soy and vinegar mixture.

Reduce the sauce to half tapos timplahan depende sa panlasa nyo then pour the coconut milk. Simmer again to reduce the sauce to 3/4.

Haluin lang ulit for another 5 minutes tas ready na cya.

Ten-ten de Sarapen

1. Noong 8 years old ako, nahulog ako sa bubungan ng isang bahay at bumagsak sa baha na panay lumot, butete, putik, ihi (ko at ng mga iba pang bata), basura at kung ano ano pa, pati ata tae meron. Ngumawa ako sa sobrang kahihiyan at dahil panay lumot at putik ako.

Five years older than me lang si prof.

Hehehe. Hula na!.Hehehe.
