Cairo @ 10




Since it's my son, Cairo's birthday today, I'm giving you some trivia about him:



1. Cairo was diagnosed with a mild case of ADHD when he was 4. He is way better that before albeit he is still so makulit.



2. Cairo’s got two half sisters and one half brother care of his prodigal mom. Cairo’s technically the eldest. Wala pa sakin, promise!



3. Cairo’s a 5th grader now in a non-tradtional school somewhere in QC.



4. Cairo wants to be a doctor someday.



5. Cairo’s crushes are Miles Ocampo of Going Bulilit and a classmate named Athena. Cairo saved some money and bought Athena a gift for Christmas. I’m probably close to becoming a grandfather.Nooooooo son! A few days back, he also asked me kung pwede na daw cya mag ka GF. I almost fainted.



6. Cairo likes anything with soup (sinigang, sopas, nilaga), veggies [malunggay, toge, carrots, okra (ewlk!),ampalaya (double ewlk!)], tomato juice and kiwi fruit.



7. Cairo’s been to US (and Disneyland Florida) four times already. Doon siya nagbabakasyon together with his prodigal mom pag summer. He’s been to Canada, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia and Japan as well.



8. Cairo inherited the geekness in me. We both love reading the encyclopedia (we still have it), guinness book of world records, Ripley’s and atlas of the world. Cairo is also sarcastic at times and fond of making side comments, just like me.



9. Cairo's real name is Lemuel Cairo.



10. Cairo was born on December 22, 1999 (two days after my birthday) at 4:25 PM; 7.6 lbs. The nicest Christmas and post birthday gift I ever had, really.

You will always be dad's boy. I love you no matter what. I will always be here to protect you and guide you just stop asking me about the girlfriend thing, don't make me nervous.

Recipe: Domjullian's Chicken Breast Tocino



Ingredients:


Chicken breasts
Mama Sita’s Tocino Mix (Mama Sita, sponsoran nyo na ko!)
Garlic Powder
Pepper
Sugar
Water


Procedure:

1. I-cut yung chicken breasts sa dalawa para maging thin.
2. Sa isang container, i-mix yung Mama Sita’s Tocino Mix, 1 tbsp ng garlic powder, 1 tsp of pepper, 1 tbsp of sugar and 1 tbsp of water. Timplahin according sa gusting lasa ng tocino nyo. Yung sakin kasi matamis.
3. I-marinate yung chicken breasts for atleast an hour or over night. Yung sakin overnight para kumapit yung marinade.
4. I-simmer sa cooking pan yung chicken, marinade at ¼ cup ng water. Lutuin hanggang mag evaporate lahat ng liquid.
5. Lagyan ng konting oil tapos i-fry hanggang medyo dark brown ng yung chicken at nag caramelized na yung sugar.
6. Pwedeng i-serve with sauce. Instead of 1 tbsp of water ilagay sa marinade, lagyan ng ½ cup. Bago i-simmer yung chicken, mag set aside ng konting marinade. I-simmer lang cya tas timplahan according sa lasa na gusto nyo tas lagyan ng konting cornstarch para mag thicken.

Recipe: Domjullian's Arroz Ala Cubana (Zai's Challenge)




Zai's recipe challenge. You can do this for sure!


Ingredients:


Ground Beef
Ground Pork
Tomato Paste
Tomato
Raisins
Onion
Garlic
Green peas
Soy Sauce
Fish Sauce
Pepper
Sugar
Eggs
Saging na Saba


Procedure:

1. Igisa ang onion, garlic and tomato. Ilagay ang equal parts of ground beef and pork (1/4 each). Lutuin hanggang mag evaporate yung liquid or hanggang maluto.
2. Lagyan ng 1 to 2 tbsps of tomato paste,1 tbsp of soy sauce and ½ cup of water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Ilagay yung green peas and raisins. Timplahan according sa taste nyo using fish sauce, sugar and pepper.
4. Luto na cya pag nag evaporate na lahat ng water at medyo lumabas na yung mga oil.
5. Sa isang pan, i-fry lang yung saging na saba at eggs.
6. I-serve with rice at eggs and banana as side side.

Recipe: Domjullian's Bangus Bistek with Caramelized Onions




Ingredients:


Bangus
Lemon
Soy Sauce
Onions
Pepper
Water
Oil

Procedure:

1. I-caramelized yung onion (mga 2 medium pieces).Drain sa paper towel and set aside.
2. Iprito lang yung bangus na hiniwa into pieces hanggang crispy na yung skin. Drain sa paper towel and set aside.
3. Mix ang ½ cup ng soy sauce, 2 tbsps. of lemon, dash os pepper tapos simmer lang at timplahin according sa panlasa nyo. Lagyan ng water kung maalat.
4. I-serve with caramelized onion sa ibabaw.

Recipe: Domjullian's Classic Spaghetti with a Twist



Ingredients:

Pasta
Ground beef
Hotdog/franks
Delmonte Spaghetti Sauce (Advertising!)
Carrots (optional)
Soy Sauce
Bellpepper (optional)
Cheese
Onion
Garlic
Ketchup
Sugar
Black pepper
Salt
All purpose cream/milk


Procedure:

1. Cook ang pasta according to package direction. Instead of oil, I used butter para hindi mag dikit dikit yung pasta.
2. Sa sauce pan, igisa anf onion, garlic and the ground beef.
3. Lagyan ng 1 to 2 tbsp of soysauce at 1 cup ng water. Simmer till maluto yung ground beef.
4. Ilagay yung delmonte spaghetti sauce. I used the big one for 1 kg pasta.
5. Lagyan ng ½ bottle ng ketchup at 1 cup ng grated cheese. Yung cheese na ginamit ko ay mozzarella cheese. Ordinary cheddar cheese will do.
6. Ilagay ang carrots, hotdog and bellpepper. Pwedeng hindi lagyan ng carrots and bellpepper kung ayaw nyo.
7. Timplahin according to desired taste. I did mine sweet since mga pamangkin ko ang kakain.
8. Turn-off the heat at lagyang ng ½ to 1 cup of all purpose cream or milk. Kailangan naka turn off na yung heat otherwise mag cu-curdle yung cream or milk.
9. I-serve with cheese on top and garlic bread.

Recipe: Domjullian's Rellenong Pusit




Ingredients:


Squid
Ground pork
Carrots, minced
Celery, minced
Onion, minced
Black pepper
Garlic powder
Oyster Sauce
Salt
Soy sauce
Vinegar
Ginger
Egg
Cornstarch

Procedure:

1. Lutuin yung squid na parang adobo. Yung malalaking squid ang bilhin, binili ko mga kasing haba ng ruler, nung naluto kasing haba na lang cellphone ko. Soysauce, vinegar, garlic powder, ginger, onion, pepper mixture. Wag masyadong malambot. Tama lang na maluto at mawala ang lansa.
2. I-drain at i-set aside.
3. Igisa ang onion, tas ilagay ang ground pork, palambutin maige.
4. Pag malambot na, ilagay ang carrots at celery.
5. Timplahin using salt, oyster sauce and pepper.
6. Palamigin. Pag malamig na. lagyan ng isang egg at 1 tbsp of cornstarch para mag bind yung ground pork mixture.
7. Palamanan yung squid using the ground pork mixture. Isiksik maige sa loob ng squid.
8. I-seal using a toothpick.
9. Mag-bate ng isang egg sa isang lalagyan, sa isa pa mag lagay ng cornstarch, pepper, salt mixture.
10. Ibabad sa egg yung squid at i-roll sa cornstarch mixture bago i-deep fry.
11. Drain sa paper towel pag luto na at i-serve with banana ketchup or sweet and sour sauce.

Recipe: Domjullian's Tofu and Brocolli with Black Beans




Ingredients:


Tofu
Black beans
Brocolli
Oyster Sauce
Soy Sauce
Onion
Garlic
Black pepper
Sugar
Sesame Oil

Procedure:

1. Hiwain into bite size pieces ang tofu at i-deep fry till golden brown. I-drain sa paper towel.
2. Igisa ang sibuyas at bawang sa pan. Lagyan ng ½ of oyster sauce and 1 tbsp of soy sauce.
3. Timplahan using pepper and sugar.
4. Ilagay yung tofu at isunod si broccoli.
5. Patakan ng konti sesame oil at i-serve.

Recipe: Domjullian's Chicken Sisig ala Pobre




Ingredients:

Ground Chicken
Pork or chicken liver chopped or mashed
Onion, chopped
Garlic Powder
Lemon
Knorr Liquid Seasoning
Soy Sauce
Salt
Pepper
Mayonnaise
Egg

Procedure:

1. Pakuluan sa ½ cup of water yung ground chicken hanggang mag evaporate yung water. Continue cooking hanggang lumabas yung oil para ma prito yung chicken at maging crispy.
2. Lagyan ng 1 to 2 tbsp ng lemon, 1 & ½ tsp of soysauce, 2 tbsp of knorr liquid seasoning, garlic powder, pepper and ¼ of the chopped onion.
3. Iluto hanggang mag evaporate ulit yung liquid.
4. Lagyan ng 1 to 2 tbsp of mayonnaise. I-adjust yung lasa.
5. I-serve sa plate at lagyan ng egg sa ibabaw at onion. Better kung sa sizzling plate kaso wala naman kaming sizzling plate kaya ordinary plate lang.

Recipe: Domjullian's Easy Beef Spareribs Kare-Kare




Kayang kaya nyo tong lutuin!


Ingredients:


Beef Spareribs
Mama Sita’s Kare-kare Mix (Ehem, free advertising!)
Peanut Butter
Achuete
Patis
Pepper powder
Talong
Sitaw
Pechay
Bagoong
Bawang
Sibuyas


Procedure:

1. Pakuluan ang beef spareribs, sibuyas at bawang hanggang fork tender ng yung beef or i-pressure cooker for 20 mins.
2. Timplahin ang kare-kare mix according to package direction. Isang pouch kada ½ kilo ng meat.
3. Pag malambot ng yung beef ilagay yung kare-kare mix, 1 tbsp of achuete liquid at 2 to 2 tbsp ng peanut butter.
4. Timplahan using patis or asin at pepper powder.
5. Ilagay na ang mga gulay.
6. I-serve with bagoong.

Recipe: Domjullian's Sinigang na Hipon




Ingredients:


Shrimp
Sampalok or knorr sinigang mix (free ad yan ha!)
Tomato
Onion
Sitaw
Kangkong
Talong
Labanos
Sili
Patis

Procedure:

1. Magpakulo ng 1 liter ng water with onion and tomato.
2. Pag malambot na, ilagay yung sampalok or knorr tamarind sinigang mix.
3. Timplahin using patis.
4. Ilagay yung shrimp tapos after 3 minutes isunod na yung mga gulay.
5. Serve pipping hot with rice and patis with sili.

Recipe: Domjullian's Pork Liver with Caramelized Onion



Ingredients:


Pork Liver
Lemon
Soy Sauce
Pepper
Sugar
Onion
Oil



Procedure:

1. Marinate lang yung liver sa soy sauce,pepper,konting sugar and lemon. Mag maganda kung overnight.
2. Mag init ng oil at fry lang yung onion hanggang mag caramelized. Onions turn sweet pag naluluto dahil may sugar content ang onion. I-drain sa paper towel and set aside.
3. Fry the pork liver. Wag masyadong i-fry kasi baka maging bitter yung lasa.
4. Discard the oil tapos i-simmer yung marinade until thick.
5. Set up na yung plate. Ilagay yung liver tapos yung caramelized onion tas ilagay yung sauce sa ibabaw. Serve with rice.

Rants 001

Please allow me to rant...

Hindi ko pa rin maintindihan ang ugali ng mga pinoy na kung kelan last day ng registration sa election e dun duma dagsa ang mga tao. May sapat na panahon na ibinigay ng COMELEC for registration pero walang nagparehistro ng maaga, ang ending syempre kagulo at galit pa sila.

Wag kayong magalit dahil kasalanan nyo kung bakit nangyari yan. Mahilig kayo sa manana habit.

Natawa pa ako dun sa isang lalaking nagsalita sa TV Patrol, paano daw sila magiging simula ng pagbabago kung hindi sila rehistrado...paano ka magiging simula ng pag babago e hindi mo nga mabago yung manana habit mo, gago!

Now we know kung bakit hindi umaasenso ang Pilipinas. Sickening.


PS: Pananaw ko to, wala akong paki kung magagalit kayo dahil mas galit ako sa inyo.mga P&(%*_8*)^$#! nyo!

Recipe: Domjullian's Chicken Pochero





Ingredients:

Chicken
Kamote
Baguio Beans
Cabbage
Saging na Saba
Pork and Beans
Tomato Paste
Onion
Garlic
Tomato
Sugar
Patis
Pepper


Procedure:

1. I-gisa ng garlic, onion and tomato then add the chicken. Stir-fry lang for 10 minutes.
2. Lagyan ng 1 cup ng water at i-simmer yung chicken para lumambot or until mag evaporate yung water.
3. Ilagay yung pork and beans and1 to 2 tbsp of tomato paste. Simmer for 3 minutes.
4. Timplahan using patis, sugar and pepper.
5. Isunod yung kamote, pag malambot na, ilagay na yung saging, baguio beans and cabbage at i-serve.

Recipe: Domjullian's Ginataang Manok





Ingredients:


Chicken
Gata
Malunggay Leaves
Sili
Patis
Ginger
Pepper
Onion
Garlic



Procedure:

1. I-gisa ang garlic, onion and ginger. Isunod ang chicken at I stir-fry for around 10 minutes or hanggang mag medyo brown yung color ng chicken.

2. Lagyan ng 1 cup of water at palambutin yung chicken or until mag evaporate yung water.

3. Ilagay pangalawang piga ng coconut at timplahan using patis and pepper. Hintayin mag evaporate to half.

4. Tas ilagay yung unang piga or the kakang gata. Simmer for mga 5 minutes or until thick na yung sauce.

5. Ilagay yung malunggay leaves and sili.

Recipe: Domjullian's Chicken Lumpiang Shanghai


Gawa ko yung malaki, gawa ni Rosaleeee yung maliit


Ingredients:

Minced Chicken
Carrots
Celery
Onion
Oyster Sauce
Black pepper powder
Water Chestnut
Cornstarch
Salt
Egg
Lumpia Wrapper

Procedure:

1. Chop lang yung carrots, celcery, water chestnut and onion.

2. I-mix sa minced chicken tas lagyan ng 1 tbsp ng oyster sauce, egg (1: ½ kilo), salt, pepper and cornstarch para hindi masyadong basa yung mixture.

3. Mag taste test muna. Mag fry ng konti para malaman kung matabang or maalat para ma adjust yung lasa.

4. Pag ok ng yung lasa, i-roll na sa lumpia wrapper at i-seal using cornstarch-water mixture.

5. I-serve with ketchup or sweet and sour sauce.

Recipe: Domjullian's Mix Veggies Stir Fry




Dahil ang daddy ko ay semi-vegetarian, nag request cya ng veggie recipe syempre.

Ingredients:


Cabbage
Carrots
Brocolli
Cauli Flower
Chicharo
Baguio Beans
Young Corn
Chicken
Pork Liver
Onion
Bellpepper
White pepper powder
Garlic
Patis
Cornstarch
Garlic
Oil
Chicken stock



Procedure:

1. Hiwain lahat ng ingredients into bite size pieces.

2. Magpainit ng mantika sa wok at I stir fry ang chicken, pork liver then the garlic. I-brown at antayin lumabas yung juices ng chicken.

3. Lagyan ng chicken stock at timplahin using patis or salt and pepper.

4. Thicken the sauce using cornstarch.

5. Ilagay ang mga gulay. Unahin yung pinaka matagal maluto.

6. I-stir fry hanggang maging half cooked yung veggies.

7. Serve.

Mixed Nuts 006

Ang hirap mag aral, mag trabaho at mag perform ng family duties all at the same time. Been uber busy sa school kaka aral para sa final exams (as of this writing 2 exams down, two more to go and an almost finished research paper that needs an awful lot of editing dahil parang walang sense mga isinulat ko) plus some other stress inducing activities.

Speaking of stress. Napanood ko si Assunta (Eunice) sa Lovers in Paris. Dialogue nya:

Nagulantang lahat ng tao sa bahay sa lakas ng tawa ko. Akala nila sinapian ako ng masamang espiritu.



Ang part time na trabaho, ayun trabaho pa din at part time pa din. Trabaho dumagsa naman kayo! Magpapasko na, kawawa naman ang mga inaanak ko!

Recipe: Domjullian and Cairo's Egg Surprise


Ingredients:

Lean ground pork
Carrots
Dried basil
Celery
Onion
Black pepper powder
Cornstarch
Paprika
Salt
Eggs
Breadcrumbs


Procedure:

1. Ilaga ang mga itlog. Tip: para hindi mag crack yung eggs habang nilalaga, lagyan ng salt. Palamigin tapos balatan.

2. Combine ground pork, chopped carrots, celery (optional), basil (optional, too), chopped onion, pepper, paprika, salt, cornstarch (1 tbsp) and eggs ( for ½ kilo of ground pork, 2 eggs will do). I-refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour.

3. Balutin lang yung egg ng ground pork mixture at i-form into ball. Wag masyadong makapal kasi baka mahilaw yung pork sa loob pag niluto.

4. I-roll sa breadcrumbs tapos i-deep fry. I-drain sa paper towel after.

5. Hiwain sa gitna para ma surprise ang mga kakain sa egg, kaya nga egg surprise.

6. Serve with ketchup.

Recipe: Domjullian's Sweet and Sour Pork


Ingredients:

Porkloin meat (mas ok to kasi walang gaanong taba, para sa mga maarte)
Egg
Cornstarch
White pepper powder
Paprika
Dried basil
Bellpepper
Pineapple tidbits (itabi ang syrup)
Apple Cider Vinegar or kahit white vinegar
Sesame oil
Banana ketchup
Oyster sauce
Sugar
Carrots
Onion
Oil for deep frying

Procedure:

1. Gawin muna ang batter. I-mix ang egg, cornstarch, pepper powder, paprika (1/4 tsp or less), dried basil (1/4 tsp or less; optional lang to). Mix lang hanggang matunaw ang cornstarch. Pwedeng flour pero mas crispy kasi pag ni fry using cornstarch (sabi ni Ms. Heny Sison).

2. I-cut yung pork into serving pieces or bite size tapos i-marinate using the batter. Mga 1 hour will do.

3. I deep fry by batches yung pork tapos i-drain sa paper towel.

4. Gawin naman ngayun yung sweet and sour sauce. Mix lang ang ketchup, oyster sauce (konti lang), sugar, pineapple syrup, cornstarch at apple cider vinegar.

5. Simmer lang hanggang lumapot yung sauce. Lagyan ng konting drops ng sesame oil at pepper powder at i-adjust yung lasa.

6. Ilagay ang flower shaped carrots, pineapple tidbits, quartered onion at bellpepper.

7. Combine lang with the deep fried porkloin and i-serve.

Recipe: Domjullian's Bulalo


Ingredients:

Beef shanks and bone marrow
1 tbsp of rice
Onion
Garlic
Black Peppercorns
Fish Sauce or Salt
Pechay


Procedure:

Ilagay lahat ng ingredients except pechay and fish sauce.

Pakuluan lang hanggang lumabot ang beef or I pressure cooker para mas mabilis.

Pag malambot na, timplahan ng patis or salt.

Ilagay ang pechay at i-serve. Pwede din lagyan ng iba pang veggies.

Mixed Nuts 005

Ondoy aftermath: Baha pa rin sa amin till now, pero wala na sa loob ng bahay, sa labas, nasa binti pa. Nakakapagod maglinis ng bahay pero ok lang kasi feeling ko nabawasan ang timbang ko.Hahaha.Asa pa.

Mataas pa rin ang tubig sa cityhall up to palengke kaya naging instant palengke ang harap ng simbahan. Pabor sa amin kasi walking distance na lang kami sa improvised palengke.

Safe na yung highschool buddy ko from Vista Verde in Cainta. Lagpas tao ang baha sa bahay nila, buti na lang at may 2nd floor sila at roof top. Hindi nakaligtas si Tutay, ang kanyang car.

Bought some groceries na i-dodonate sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo. Highschool buddy asked me kung wala daw ba cyang relief goods since nasalanta din cya. I’ll be checking out some friends and relatives in Pinagbuhatan later to see if they’re OK.

Kung malungkot lahat, si Cairo masaya kasi first time nya naka lusong sa baha at gusto pa mag swimming.


No, no, no…facebook at friendster, di nyo pa ko maaakit. Twitter…medyo malapit na, sana pilitin ako ni Bianca Gonzales mag twitter (I read her twits!).

Recipe: Cairo's Nilunod na Lumpiang Sariwa


Wag nyong laitin yung picture kasi hindi ako ang gumawa nya, si Cairo (yes, we have one thing in common - we both lack creativity). Masarap naman cya kahit nilunod ni Cairo sa sauce ang lumpia.


Ingredients:

Filling:
Ground Pork
Tofu (fried and cubed)
Singkamas
Kamote
Toge
Carrots
Cabbage
Baguio Beans
Soy Sauce
Fish Sauce
Sugar
Pepper
Onion
Garlic

Wrapper – click here for recipe.

Sauce:
Soy Sauce
Sugar
Pepper
Cornstarch

Garnish:
Lettuce (Romaine variety)
Chopped peanuts
Minced Garlic



Procedure:

1. Prepare and cook the wrapper. Set aside.
2. Igisa lang ang onion and garlic. Tapos isunod ang ground pork and soy sauce.
3. Ilagay ang mga gulay according sa tagal maluto. Eto order ng pag lagay ko – kamote, singkamas, carrots, baguio beans, toge and cabbage.
4. Ilagay and tofu at timplahan. Set aside.
5. Prepare the sauce. Paghaluin lang lahat at lutuin hanggang malapot na yung sauce. Dapat medyo matamis lasa nya.


Assembly:

1. Kumuha ng isang wrapper at ilatag.
2. Lagyan ng lettuce at ng vegetable filling. I-roll.
3. I arrange sa plate at lagyan ng sauce. I garnish with peanuts and garlic.

Recipe: Phad Thai




Nakabili ako sa Singapore ng Instant Phad Thai as recommended by a Singapore based Thai client. Nag invite kasi siya ng dinner and served Phad Thai. Dahil nasarapan ako, I asked for her recipe at dinaya lang pala ako dahil instant Phad Thai lang ginamit nya.

Bumili ako ng sangkatutak na Phad Thai kit (Php 87 per pack) para i-try kaya eto ang kinalabasan.


Ingredients:

Instant Phad Thai Kit (Noodles and Phad Thai flavoring ang kasama nya). For recipe click here.
Shrimp (Any meat will do, pwede din lagyan ng tofu)
Scrambled Eggs
Peanuts
Lemon
Toge
Spring Onion


Procedure:

1. Cook the phad thai noodles according to package direction and prepare the phad thai sauce.
2. Toast the peanuts tas iluto ang scrambled eggs.
3. Sa wok, maglagay ng konting oil at igisa ang shrimp (30 secs lang).
4. Ilagay ang toge at spring onion and stir for 15 secs.
5. Ilagay ang noodles, egg and the phad thai sauce.
6. Haluin maige para ma-incorporate yung sauce sa noodles.
7. Ilagay ang peanuts at i-serve with lemon. Gumamit ng chopsticks kung marunong.

Ondoy

Few more inches at papasok na ang tubig sa bahay namin. First time bumaha dito sa lugar namin. We're lucky may internet at electricity pa kami.

Update – Since we felt that sooner, papasok na yung tubig sa bahay namin (as of 4 PM 09/26 almost hanggang tuhod na ang tubig sa labas ng bahay), dad decided na i-akyat na lahat ng gamit sa 2nd floor ng pa gibang bahay namin. Inuna naming yung mga vulnerable stuffs like the sofa, ref etc.

At 6 pm no more electricity and internet (opera mini, I love you!), but fortunately, may generator kami and all the techie stuffs are fully charged.

Leroy and I volunteered to watch over the flood. At 9 pm, less than 2 inches na lang so we both decided to start moving upstairs the rest of the things. 11 pm, flood reached our house. Ginising ng mommy ko lahat ng tao sa bahay and started to pray.

At 3 am, tumaas lalo ang tubig at fully submerged na ang buong bahay namin. Sa labas above the knee na ang tubig.

At 7 am, holly crap! Knee high na sa loob ng bahay namin at waist deep na sa labas. It’s a good thing we have enough supply of food, good for 3 more days.

Its now 11 am, I don’t feel good. I hope things will get better.

Recipe: Domjullian's Baked Mac




Eto ni prepare ko for dad’s birthday.Yum!


Ingredients:

Macaroni
Minced Beef
Del Monte Spaghetti Sauce
Cheese
Cinnamon Powder
Banana Ketchup
Soy Sauce
Sugar
Carrots
Mushroom
Onion
Garlic
Milk
Butter
Bechamel Sauce


Procedure:

Cook the pasta according to package direction.

1. Prepare the Bechamel Sauce. Click here for ingredients and procedure.

2. Melt butter in a heavy sauce pan. Igisa ang sibuyas at bawang.

3. Ilagay ang karne ng baka at hayaang maluto, around 5 minutes.

4. Lagyan ng mga 2 tbsp. of soy sauce. Stir for around 2 minutes.

5. Ilagay ang spaghetti sauce at ketchup (½to ¾ of the bottle).

6. Sunod na ilagay ang cinnamon powder (1/2 tsp.), mushroom, carrots and milk (1/2 cup) and cheese (1 cup).

7. Timplahin according to your desired taste.

Assembly:

1. Mix the macaroni and the spaghetti sauce. Dapat medyo mas marami yung sauce since pag bake ay ma a absorb ng macaroni yung sauce.

2. I-cover ng b├ęchamel sauce (around 2 tbsp.) ang bottom part ng pyrex dish.

3. Ilagay ang macaroni tapos I top ng b├ęchamel sauce at cheese.

4. I-bake hanggang maluto yung ibabaw. Wag I over bake. Pwede din i-microwave.

Recipe: Pan Fried Pork Tenderloin ala Dom


Ingredients:

Pork Tenderloin
Soy Sauce
Lemon
Basil
Rosemary
Garlic Powder
Salt
Pepper
Butter


Procedure:

1. Combine all the ingredients except for butter and pork tenderloin.

2. Timplahin according to your desired taste. I marinate yung pork tenderloin for atleast an hour or overnight.

3. Simmer lang yung pork sa marinade until fork tender then drain in paper towel.

4. Melt ang butter sa non stick pan and pan fry the pork tenderloin.

5. Serve with plain or garlic rice.

Mixed Nuts 004

Been busy this week, kakauwi ko lang galing Singapore-lah, may jetlag pa ata ako, nahihilo ako. Thank you Bro, nakalusot ulit kami sa project presentation, iba ka talaga! Malapit ko na ma master-lah ang pagsasalita-lah ng mga Singaporeans-lah!

School #1- UP- daming exams and requirements. Wala pa rin kami nabubuo sa project namin, sensya naman groupmates, malas nyo pinili nyo ako, promise babawi ako, ayoko din naman mag ka 4.0. Disapproved ang petition letter ko to credit two Statistics subjects I took for my 1st undergrad para sa Industrial Statistics subject na kailangan ko kunin next sem. Imbes na 6 units lang ako next sem, 9 units tuloy ako.Masama pa nun e math subject cya, crap math.

School #2- MWS - Sabi ni Cairo, tumubo na daw yung tinanim namin last week. Kailangan ko pumasok ng isang buong lingo sa school ni Cairo para makabawi. Di pa rin nag po progress yung ginaganchilyo ko, abstract pa rin hitsura nya.

Nilaglag na ni Lacson si Erap. Evil begets evil. Sit back, relax and watch, crescit eundo...

I was asked for my presidential bet, none so far, closest being Noynoy but he is too hilaw to be president.

Leroy recorded the episodes I missed during my Singapore hiatus. I’ll be watching it later, galing daw ni pande Coco Martin at ni Lola Gets!

Nasa amin ang Our Lady of Manaoag since Saturday night at required kami mag rosary for one week hanggang bukas. Ni request kasi ng mommy ko as thanksgiving for dad’s birthday tomorrow. Kabisado ko pa ang mga dasal sa rosary kahit sobrang tagal ko na hindi nag ro rosary.

Napapadalas ang day-off ni Rosalee, mukhang inlababo. Buti pa cya may lovelife.

I saw “angel” again sa UP last Monday, kaso kamalas malasan, naka talikod cya papasok sa classroom nila pero alam ko cya yun. Di ko cya nakita kanina.

Congrats sa UP kahit di champion ulit sa cheerdance – 3rd placer at may special award pa. Congrats too sa FEU (1st) and ADMU (2nd)! ADMU siguro mag cha champion sa basketball since laglag ang DLSU (sob, sob) sa final 4. Sana bigyan ng FEU or UE ng matinding laban ang ADMU

Lumaki na yung stocks na ininvest ko.Yehey! Konti na lang mapapasama na ko sa Forbes’ Richest.Hehe.

Procedure:

1. Pakuluan lang ang isda hanggang maluto. Huwag masyadong malambot para hindi madurog.
2. Palamigin tapos himayin. Kunin lang ang laman
3. Ihalo sa mga natirang ingredients. Timplahan according sa panlasa nyo.
4. Form into small balls tapos I deep fry
5. Hanguin na pag golden brown na tapos drain sa paper towel at I serve with ketchup or sweet and sour sauce.

Recipe: Pudding


Nag pe prepare ng mid night snack (french toast) si Leroy and sis-in-law Belle( di pa kami nag di dinner, may midnight snack na agad sila) ng na notice ko na ubod sila ng arte at tinatanggal nila yung sides ng tasty and anything brown sa tasty. Dahil sayang, ginawa ko na lang pudding.


Ingredients:

Bread
Milk
Egg
Cinnamon Powder
Sugar
Cheese


Procedure:

Mix everything hanggang ma absorb ng bread yung liquid tapos I bake. Yung sakin ni microwave ko for 10 minutes.

Kapamilya Primetime Bida Reviews

Aliw na aliw ako minsan sa pag sa side comments habang nanonood ng mga prime time bida teleserye. Kasi naman parang minsan OA na pagkakagawa o pag arte ng mga tauhan, minsan dahil manlalait ako since birth, walang nakakalusot sa mga mata ko kahit gaano ka liit na detalye but nonetheless worth watching pa rin sila, yung iba.

- May Bukas Pa

-Yung polo barong ni Mayor Enrique (na milagrong nabuhay ulit at nakipag barilan ulit) ay laging bitin, parang hanging polo barong lang.


-Sumisikat na yung tatlong chismosa (Rosalie, Jennifer at Kimberly) sa tindahan nina Atong (Ogie Diaz). Malapit na nilang maging ka level sila Bea Alonzo, Anne Curtis at Kristine Hermosa.


-Nakaka aliw sila Atong at Baby (Arlene Mulach), kahit laging tragic ang buhay sa Bagong Pagasa. May touch of laughter kahit papano. Maganda ang chemistry nilang dalawa.


-Si Froilan the kindnapper, ewan ko kung ganun talaga cya umarte. Sobrang OA. Parang 1,000 times ang galit sa mundo. Laging nakasigaw, kulang na lang pati ako masindak sa boses nya.


-Si Paco aka young Tiagong Akyat, nagbibinata na. Lumalaki at pumipiyok na boses.


-Si Hepe, ginagawang headquarter ang office ni Mayor Enrique, laging nandun kasama pa lagi yung sidekick nya na dapat mag-diet sa katabaan.


-Nung naligaw sila Santino sa gubat, nag transform ang backpack ni Rico into backpack ni Dora. Ang daming nakuhang laman sa backpack at di basta basta ang mga laman, may flashlight, lighter at kung ano ano pa. Akalain mong boy scout pala si Rico, laging handa.


-Si Boy Abunda ng Going Bulilit, lalaki na sa May Bukas pa at Batang Iwahid pa ang ganap. Di halatang bading badingan cya.


-Sobrang lakas ni Santino kay Bro. Nailigtas na cya sa mga tulisan kaso nabaril si Hepe, buti na lang dun talaga tumama sa anting anting nung sidekick nyang ubod ng taba. Dun talaga pinatama sabi ng direktor.


- Tayong Dalawa

-Kawawa naman si Dave, tulirong tuliro na sa buhay, parang adik na lang minsan ang arte nya. Sakit siguro ng katawan ni Dave kaka bugbog ni JR. Nag evolved silang dalawa sa pag arte, ang galing nilang dalawa.

-Fun! Nakakatuwa si Marlon and Candice. Pero mas bagay sina Warren and Candice.


-Panalo din ang lovelife ni yaya Greta at lolo Lawrence. Real love, awww!


-Nakakatuwa yung iba characters like Elvis and Ingrid tandem. Bagay sila at may chemistry din. Patok sakin mga hirit nila.

Recipe: Pork Spareribs in Tausi and Tomato Sauce




Ingredients:

1 kilo pork spareribs, cut into serving pieces
1 small can tausi, drained and rinsed
2 thumb size ginger, grated
1/2 head garlic, minced
2-3 pcs. dried chili, chopped or chili flakes
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
sugar
cooking oil

Procedure:

1. Pan fry pork spareribs in batches until color changes to golden brown
2. Discard excess oil leaving only enough to suttee garlic, ginger and onion.
3. Add in spareribs and continue to stir cook for 1-2 minutes.
4. Add in dried chili, soy sauce and tomato sauce stir cook for another 2-3 minutes.
5. Add 4-6 cups of water, bring to a boil and simmer in low to medium heat until meat is tender.
6. Add in 1/2 can of the tausi halfway and when pork is tender ready and most of the liquid has evaporated
7. Add in the other half can of the tausi, and sugar to taste, cook until sauce is reduce to almost oily dry.
