Recipe: Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet

Niluto ko din ito for dad


Ingredients:

3/4 kg fish fillet (labahita ang ginamit ko)
1 cup grape vinegar
1 cup pineapple chunks
1 cup liquid ng pineapple chunks
1 cup sugar
Carrots
Onion
Bellpepper
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Eggs
Cornstarch
Oil
Butter

Procedure:

1. Hiwain into 1-inch size ang fish fillet at i-marinate sa salt, pepper at garlic powder for atleast 1 hour or overnight.
2. I-prepare ang batter. Mag mix ng 1 cup ng cornstarch, 1/2 cup ng water, 2 eggs, salt and pepper.
3. Ilagay ang marinated fish fillet sa batter at hayaan for atleast 30 minutes.
4. Iprito sa oil until golden brown at i-drain sa paper towel. Set aside.
5. Para sa sweet and sour sauce. Pag samahin sa sauce pan ang vinegar, pineapple water/juice, sugar, pepper and some salt.
6. I-simmer for 3 minutes. Ilagay ang 2 tbsp. melted butter, pineapple chunks, carrots at onion.
7. Magtunaw ng cornstarch sa malamig na tubig at ihalo sa sauce hanggang mag thicken.
8. I-adjust ang lasa, using, salt, sugar and pepper.
9. Ilagay ang fish fillet at haluin hanggang ma coat lahat ng fish fillet. Ihain habang mainit.
